A mini-festival of feature and documentary films, and a two-day conference, focusing on the rich musical heritage and the burgeoning new music scenes in the Middle East.

City University London and London Centre for Arts and Organisational Exhange in association with Iran Heritage Foundation, Institute of Musical Research, Centre for Iranian Studies at SOAS and The Royal Anthropological Institute.

Two-day conference at the Institute of Musical Research (including the spring meeting of the Middle East and Central Asia Music Forum).
Speakers: Martin Stokes (Oxford), Nacim Pak (Edinburgh), Kay Dickinson (Goldsmiths), Kamran Rastegar (Tufts), Peyman Yazdanian (Iran), John Baily (Goldsmiths), Tony Langlois (Limerick), Havana Marking and Federico Spinetti (Alberta). Plus film screenings.
