Introduction:
This programme will combine two events, a highly innovative concert with exceptional musicians plus the world premiere of a documentary on the Bam earthquake by Iran's foremost journalistic film maker.

CONCERT
Old Roots New Leaves is an extraordinary performance by the highly acclaimed Iranian composer/instrumentalist Majid Derakhshani, in collaboration with the accomplished soprano Zohreh Jooya, accompanied by a mixed jazz-style ensemble including tar, setar and ney as well as cello, saxophone and percussion.

FILM
Bam, the Third Day, the Tenth Day was shot by Seiffolah Samadian during two trips to Bam immediately after the earthquake, and captures both the trauma, suffering and grief of the victims and survivors, as well as the compassion of the outside world that has been pouring in subsequent to the tragedy that happened in Bam on a Friday in December 2003. 

All net proceeds of the event will be donated for the benefit of the survivors of the Bam Earthquake.
