A selection of films focusing on the social and emotional lives
of women in contemporary Iran, including the post-revolutionary
directors whose work is taking the cinematic world by storm, and
the release of Abbas Kiarostami’s fantastic new feature Ten.
Plus a workshop with Abbas Kiarostami, Mania Akbari and
other personalities from the world of Iranian cinema, on the art
of screen direction and acting, and the reality of women’s
lives in Iran today.
