Introduction:
The
latest film by Jafar
Panahi, acclaimed director of The White Balloon (Badkonak-E
Sefid) and The Circle (Dayereh),
Crimson Gold (Talaye Sorgh)
is the Cannes award-winning story of a Tehran jewellery theft
that goes horribly wrong. Written by Abbas Kiarostami, the film has been widely praised by critics
for its dark humour and deep emotion.
This
is an exclusive opportunity to see the London premiere of the
‘Crimson Gold’ introduced by Jafar Panahi, who will take part in an interview and a Q&A
session after the film.
The
screening and interview will be followed by a reception in
honour of Jafar
Panahi.
