When King Sam commands that his long-awaited new-born son Zal be abandoned because of his white hair, the Simorgh adopts the baby. Join us to celebrate the launch of the stunning new picture book, The Phoenix of Persia, with a spellbinding family storytelling event from author Sally Pomme Clayton. This magical story is accompanied by an original musical performance, played on traditional Iranian instruments. Children will be able to try out some of the instruments for themselves and experience their unique sounds. There will also be a book-signing.
