Description
Author Lena Späth has captured the beauty, intricacy, and vibrancy of Iranian interior design in order to showcase its underrated style in her new book Behind Closed Curtains: Interior Design in Iran.
“I want to challenge the narrative on Iran most media companies follow. This book is my way to bring the country’s history and the stories of its citizens into the homes and the hands of more people.” – Lena Späth
This book contains vibrant pictures by Tehran-based photographer Hamed Farhangi, which allow readers a glimpse into sixteen extraordinary homes belonging to artists, entrepreneurs, and architects all over Iran. Having travelled around the country over the course of a year, Späth has drawn on her extensive knowledge of Persian culture, traditions, and handicrafts to create this beautiful book. Having recently returned from her latest trip to Iran, her talk aims to elaborate more on the elements of Persian interior design as well as look at its future trends.
Copies of Behind Closed Curtains: Interior Design in Iran will be available to purchase at the event.
