Description
This talk will describe a project to re-evaluate the life and work of Abdol Hossein Sardari, who was the acting Iranian Consul in Paris during the Second World War and who issued documents to many Iranian and non-Iranian Jews to save them from the Holocaust.
Mahdieh Zardiny has been working on a documentary about Sardari’s life and the lives of those he helped save, and as part of this project there has been an application made for him to be recognised in the List of Righteous Among the Nations at the Holocaust Museum in Washington DC. Zardiny will discuss the project and show some clips from this upcoming documentary.
